It is amazing the way quitness and frenzy can blend so perfectly here. On one side, you can join the non-stop parties drawing visitors with their unique music, dancing and a relaxed atmosphere.
If you like to stay near Had Yao bay, have a look at Sandy Bay Resort, all of the bungalows are maintained regular and as one of the better resorts on Phangan they empathize the standard expected by guests.
Phangan used to be a backpackers destination, Nowadays a different type and a mixed range of guests visits the island. A thing many of tourists have in common, tourists want to look out for a relaxed and interesting place. One exemption might be the Fullmoon party when the place changes into a dancefloor.
The southeastern part of Kho Phangan is the main party area including HadRin and the fullmoon party beach. Nearly all of the area around HaadRin is mountainious making most of the beautiful fine white sandy beaches unable to reach by road, the only way to get to them is by boat from Had Rin. The climate in Thailand is very tropic, high temperature and wet. Often weather season are caused by monsoons that make three weather seasons in Northern and Central Thailand and two contrastive seasons in Southern part of the Kingdom of Thailand. The south-west monsoon happens approx May to Oct comes with lot of rain and the sky is cloud covered, but in the north-east monsoon around November to Mar is bone-dry and relatively low temperature. For those of you who find Kho Samui too costly or too much like a big city with holiday makers, Phangan is the a better place to chill & relax in Southern Thailand. Like the neighbor island, Koh Phangan has experienced substantial growth rates in visitor numbers also it is well know its own right for its every month held amazing Full Moon Party right on Haad Rin beach. Because of its vibrant party scene some have dubbed Koh Phangan the Ibiza of the east. If it's boring for you to laying on the beach, try out something different. Koh Phangan offers a few day-time activties like Kitesurfing, ATV Rentals, Elefant Trekking, Jungle Trekking, Snorkeling, Muay Thai, Yoga Classes,a Chinese Temple and Cooking Lessons for Thai Food. |
